Default CR v. DE? Pssht How about Pro V. CR.. VR & Seth you'll like this

With all the talk about CR's versus DE'ers I thought I'd provide a little perspective in a new thread.

This is how a Pro (with full factory support) must feel like when he runs around with Club Racers...

The video is at the end of the posts but is well worth going through to see a truly beautilully set up German Race car. (BMW)

The bottom line is that there will always be somebody faster, better setup, yada, yada, yada...

Enjoy.

That was fun to watch. Would love to see it from an outside perspective.

Must have been an inverted start. Very pretty car though - fabulous craftsmanship.

That said, there are some club racers I know who would make a lot of pros run for the hills if given the chance...

I'm glad I watched that at work. The sound of those straight cut gears would have sent my dog under the bed for a week.

It wasn't an inverted start...it was a fast car that didn't get a qualifying time and ended up starting in the back with the slowest qualifiers.

Bryan, I wrote that "tongue in cheek" but I guess that it was too subtle. Those guys at the back were r e a l l y s l o w.

I've never heard a normally aspirated engine scream like that. I kept thinking it was going to explode!
Its as close to an F1 engine as I've ever heard.

That wasn't the engine...it was the gearbox and/or diff. The engine note is actually fairly low. Lots of intake noise on those big carbon boxed inline-4's.
