Individual Throttle Bodies. I was turned in to those with my M5. It's all about throttle response.

Considering I have a car in the garage with that technology you would have thought I had a clue what he was talking about.

Yup.. that's it.

Found a rally car using a 996 3.4 tuned with ITBs while doing some research about a year and a half ago. Dynoed 350hp at the flywheel.

At the present the ITBS are only applied to our modified engines that surpass the effective range of the stock intake plenum arrangement.

Currently we only have the ability to utilize these on a modified engine of less than 3.6 liters. We are working on a different extrusion with the manufacturer of the assemblies that will allow them to be applied to a 4 liter engine created from a 3.6 or 3.8 engine, but that'll be a while.

So far we have been utilizing them on our 2.9, and 3.6 engines based from the 2.5, 2.7 and 3.2 Boxster engines. Thus far we have not applied them to a 996 build, but will be soon.

so your current ones will work for a 3.4L 996. do you have airboxes like those on a gt3 RSR?

Jake this sounds very interesting. Would you indulge us with a picture or too. Also what effective improvement do you see in adding one of these to your boxster engines.

Also, isn't the intake plenum arrangement interchangeable between the 2.7, 3.2 and 3.4? I may likely have this wrong but I seem to recall a conversation during a boxster to 3.4 engine swap and the potential reuse of the 2.7s intake plenum due to clearance issues in the boxster engine bay withe the 3.4 motor.

Thanks and always, awesome work. I love that you will potentially be our source for hop ups like the Type IV world has enjoyed for years.
