One-day DE at Harris Hill Road, San Marcos, Texas
Registration is now open for our DE at Harris Hill Road!
H2R is a very fun track just north of San Marcos, Texas. (http://harrishillroad.com/) We have an incredible event set up. This will be a one-day event on January 31, and will be the FIRST instructed event at this new track, with PCA instructors, many of whom frequent this board. We welcome your attendance. Cost is a reasonable $150 for PCA members, $165 for non-members. Please register now at www.clubregistration.net.
Our sponsor, Roger Beasley Porsche located in Austin, is providing free lunch AND free tech inspections for all registrants. Thanks Roger Beasley for your support!
Feel free to forward this info to your Santa and have them contact me for a special gift certificate for your stocking! Email President at hcrpca.org. I'll send them a gift certificate and voila! You are there!
Let me know if you have any questions about the event. We look forward to seeing you there!

Richard's registration duties must have been keeping him away from those instructor meetings at TWS.
Yes, we do need instructors, however.....
The big restriction with this track is parking. Entrants will be assigned a parking space on hard standing for their track car, but any trucks and trailers will have to be parked on the grass. No exceptions, there just isn't room. No camping trailers or motorhomes inside the gate either. If entrants can manage NOT to bring a truck and trailer, that would make life simpler for the organizers.
This event is intended at least partly as a starter event for beginners to DE who'd find a full weekend miles away from home too offputting. At least until they find out how much fun it is.
That means we do need instructors. We're expecting that a chance to drive a new track will be at least as popular with instructors as it was with Cresson 3.1 and MSR-Houston and Eagles Canyon. It will probably be the first instructed event at Harris Hill Road. There will be Green and Blue instructed groups, only one Yellow Advanced group and one Red instructor group. We're expecting to run about 20 cars per group. A later start than the locals will expect, track goes hot at 9AM, and cold track dictated by approaching sunset.
We're working on an instructor orientation session on Friday evening for those who can make it.
Michael, likely DE chair for this event

Thanks for the thorough description Michael.
Yes Richard and others, we will need instructors, so please sign up. And drivers please note that yellow and white (aka advanced) will be one run group, meaning there will be fewer spots to go around. If you want to sign up, do it quickly, before it fills.

52 Registrants so far so if you are thinking about it you might want to act quickly. Expecting 20 per group and spots are filling up fast
16 Green
9 Blue
12 White/Yellow
15 Red
This track is only a year old and in really good shape. In addition it is really well setup for learning as it has plenty of open space on all sides of the track.
A decent in car video with pretty quick time is below.

Anyone know what provisions are in place for refueling at this event?

Do you use more than a tankful in just one day?
