Default Mika Häkkinen teaches James May how to drive

Or attempts to...

btw. I love the rules for the race and the cars, sort of like Lemons racing, just $1000 a car and a little more serious.

That was a good segment for sure - interesting rules on how if someone wants to buy your car, you *have* to sell it to them.

A lot of horse racing is like that too, in "claim" races.

Nice "Members Only" jacket Mika!

Great segment- maybe they won't be able to call James "Captain Slow" any longer.

Haha, excellent!
Ahvenisto Race Circuit in the beginning, rally in the middle and folk race in the end!

That was cool!

I haven't been one in years but those folk races are pretty popular and yes, you do have to sell your car with a fixed price which is very low. 1000 euros is probably correct.

Nice to see Hakkinen showing the ropes to May, "I'm not so good on gravel"... Back in the day, he tried Tommi Makinen's (4 times WRC Champion) rally car and in the end was only a second slower than Tommi (on a long rally stage). Hakkinen wasn't happy with that, went out again and rolled the damn car!

Default U-Car claimer rules.

Check out the rules to this series of racing. Claimer rule is at the end. I love the rules, and the racing is probably a hoot. Unfortunately, it all takes place on little 1/4 or 1/2 mile ovals.

http://www.angelfire.com/ucarcentral/faq.html

Claimer rule lets a guy behind you buy your car for $1,250. If you decline, you sit out two races. Decline twice and you're done for the year.
