Well this sucks. I start a thread looking for shocks and other people snipe them because I wasn't able to login quick enough. Crap!!

I was thinking the same thing, Eric.

I hope that all of you guys who cut in front of Eric have told the seller(s) that the thread starter should have the right of first refusal. He started the thread in the hopes that he might be able to rustle up some remote reservoirs.

Maybe I am missing something and not familar with the forum's policy for want ad posts, but shouldn't the protocol be that first dibs be granted to the thread starter?

why didn't posters/responders just PM the original thread starter? Seems counter productive to ask if anyone is selling something, then not get a direct PM from those responding to the thread.

I agree with Eric, hosed!

I totally agree...this looks poor.

I think the classy thing to do would be for the potential buyers to step aside and allow Eric first right of refusal. If I were the seller, I wouldn't even think of selling to someone else unless the OP declined for some reason.

My $.015 (it used to be 2 cents...not anymore).

I agree completely and hope that sellers and buyers allow Eric the right of first refusal, even if an initial deal was struck. It really is the right thing to do. Again, it was Eric's thread.

FWIW Eric, I simply PM'd some questions about the JRZs and I believe they were sold to someone else. I also assumed you were looking specifically for Moton Clubsports .

Given the strength of the US dollar vs. Canadian, you may want to contact the guys at Paragon (http://www.paragoncompetition.com/) in Toronto who are the Canadian Moton distributors. They may have a line on something used....

Motons and JRZ are essentially the same shock. Moton got the designs from JRZ (they used to work there), and even much of the guts are interchangeable. So yeah, either is fine.

I know that. but your thread title said motons, so i would assume that is exactly what you are looking for. good luck in your search. i feel your pain, i have lost out on deals too.

fwiw, i don't believe the OP has any specific rights in this situation anyway. too hard to keep track of who wanted what where. in the internet age you just gotta get lucky and be in right place at right time.
