If you run or are thinking of running with NASA's version of GTS next year, you might want to check out the forum where rules changes are being proposed.

What's that all about? Is GTS Challenge (separate from NASA) not moving forward now? Just curious.

I saw that. Apparently Jerry Kunzman ran for Governor of the great state of California. Jerry for Governor

Anyway, the drama continues.

Mark,

Which? The version of GTS Challenge as a separate independent entity or NASA's version of GTS?

I'm not sure what is going to happen with GTS and that is disturbing. My car was specifically built for GTS3 and I enjoy running with NASA-SE. I do not like the way NASA is trying to sweep Mark under the rug and continue on as if nothing has happened (other than their statement that Mark resigned - Mark of course has denied this). To boot, there are rule changes being proposed, yet no information is provided on who will make the final decisions. I would suggest checking out this thread (http://www.nasaforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=24761) and make you opinion known.

I guess the NASA version. I always thought that NASA controlled it. Is that not the case?

No, NASA never controlled it. They didn't even want GTS as a National Class until they needed us to fill the paddock at the 2006 Nationals. I own the copyrights and trademarks of GTS, I authored the rules and own the website. NASA has never contributed one penny to GTS nor did they ever offer. GTS was founded by 3 of us. A Rennlist regular is one of them...Vaughan Scott.

The new look to the website is my idea of humor and a little personal therapy for myself. After all, we are a german car class so I stuck with a german theme.

Any way, I am finished with NASA. I thought I was also finished with GTS as of late last night, but something has come up. I can't say what, but if it goes though, there will be no GTS at NASA, and GTS will be at many more events next year than I ever thought possible. Stay tuned to the website, and I'll announce here if it comes to pass.

Mark

It was a symbiotic relationship but two completely separate entities. NASA had nothing to do with the start of GTS Challenge or work involved in growing the series.

I chuckled at the gts challenge page. I found it very humorous.

Conspiracy theory starts: GTS will run with SCCA next year!

ps. I have no idea what GTS is going to do next year.
