NASA can just as easily put together their own German Racing Series, similar to GTS but slightly different. I know I want to stay where the contigentcy $ is and with that kind of "humor" on the GTSChallenge.com webpage, I can't help but to think that sponsors wouldn't want any part of that "humor". As for SCCA, forget that...for now and forever!

Unless the cars fit into already existing classes that may not be grouped together it won't happen on a national level for SCCA without going through the typical new class process and it can't happen at SCCA nationals without a probationary period.

2nd guess - GTS and 944 Cup are teaming up to form a new German Racing Series. Why, well, 944 Cup is not going to the 2009 Nationals either.

LOL... yeah, GTS just is not compatible with SCCA, hasn't been since the first year.
So, keep working it guys - what other sanctioning bodies are arround that GTS can play with???

What a mess. I'm not doing anything other than PCA Club Racing until this gets totally sorted out with solid footing. The last thing you want to do is prep a car and not know if NASA's "GTS" or the real GTS is even going to be viable and run. And all this time I thought GTS was a NASA series. I mean, seriously, you got to it from the NASA site.

There is no way GTS will run with PCA --- if Dyno's start showing up at PCA the **** will hit the fan.
I think a dyno at a PCA race would be SWEET.
I wish we could get Hoosier contingency $ like GTS.

The current economic situation is going to open the eyes of many a track and race organization. We've been on a real growth spurt the last five years with growth coming from all over, but considering the near-term outlook it could be very tough on these organizations. I wouldn't discount any group running Nasa, PCA, BMWCCA, SCCA.....if they have the funds up front to commit. I have heard PCA is entertaining some other "Porsche" run groups in 2009 already.
