The french quarter is in New Orleans. In Montreal you've got the english quarter (west Island) and then you've got every other quarter....... Including french but I don't know where its been!!!

Thanks for the clarification, I always thought it was a dedicated circuit. I will have to head over and drive it once. Outside of the race, I assume its something like Central Park?

I am bummed out by this whole Montreal gp thing. My home town was at its best during the gp weekend!
I ride my road bike there on a weekly basis as it is down the street from my office and a great place to ride with other fast cyclists and can tell you that it is not part of the normal street system. next to it is the entrance and exit to the casino but since it is a track that does not connect any two roads and is on a small island that has only three things on it (track, park and casino).
It is a "public" road and can be driven on most of the year but during the summer months there is a million times more bike and roller blade traffic than cars on it, during the winter, I think Andrei and I make up the most of the traffic!

Someone has missed a trick here. People would definitely pay a premium to do trackdays here, despite the lack of run-off.

Surely it would be relatively easy to do something either side of the GP without incurring significant extra costs?
