Default Flying lizards car on Palomar Mtn, San Diego ??

I recently participated in a drive around the San Diego back country

http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/s...un-10-4-a.html

The group wasn't really to my tastes, (nor is playing follow-the-leader) on local roads.
so, a friend and i split off and drove back up the East Grade.
about 1/2 way up were crossed paths with what looked to be a 997 painted in Flying Lizards livery.

closing velocity and foggy conditions prevented a close look.

I thought they were based out of Georgia?????????

be safe

Craig

They are based out of the San Francisco Bay area. Maybe it was a hardcore fan or your eyes were deceiving you? The Lizards team was busy at the Petit Lemans this weekend, winning titles and crashing cars...

The 45 car was for sale a while ago...maybe a new owner stretching it's legs? if it was the real deal you'd know by the noise, wing, and probably transporter sitting around...hard to imagine getting that one out on a public road...

can't imagine a serious owner taking an RSR out on the street (any street) for a run. Too much to go wrong and result in $$$$

Ugh, Palomar cop trap. What's worse is the residents are so pissd at the bikers storming the mountain every weekend (and getting air lifted out of there when they crash) the residents are dumping gravel and stuff on the road. Watch yourself. I hit a patch of something at speed and had a tank slapper around a curve. Wow code brown indeed.

Bummer to hear that. The other good road I knew about down here was Highland valley road or whatever - off of the 15 going to Ramona. Fun sometimes, but they really tore it up this year with road work in certain places.

I guess track time is the only option now. It would be nice to find something for a good fun ride though.
