1.7 MSR vs TWS CW? Is there anything more that needs to be said?

Meanwhile Laurel and Hardy are busy thinking...

Yeah yeah yeah. Pipe down, Curly. I know MSR is running the 1.7. I don't mind the 1.7. It' like "MSR Classic" (remember Coke Classic?). Besides, I haven't run MSR in about a year so I need some time on it and I'll be running TWS (albeit CCW) in December and I've run TWS twice already this year. So there. And besides, MSR is local to me so no hotel expenses. Cheaper on the budget.

I like CCW better, I feel it challenges and rewards you better than CW.
I would say CW rewards proper car placement more than car control, unless of course you are improperly placing your car and then yes you will be practicing car control.

In cars with broad torque range, CCW requires less driver inputs, whereas CW is "busier".

CW also makes mglobe's music play backwards, which can be an additional distraction.

I've only driven TWS CW once, compared to multiple times CCW, but to me, getting 15-14-13 right going CW is a bigger challenge than the same set of turns CCW. Maybe its just because I have more laps in going CCW. I found 6-5 to be a lot more fun going CW than CCW. Overall, I think I had more fun going CW. 2-1 just rocks!

agreed, if you don't think CCW is fun you aren't going fast enough. T1/T2 is so much fun, but you have to push to make it fun.

Who said it wasn't fun? I just said I preferred CW better.

You just never see the big tracks in the US being run backwards; RA, WGI, VIR, Mid-o. Guess

Mostly for safety reasons.

PS: Dick Conole told me that the TWS road course was designed to run CW, so CCW is backwards.

I am still in the process of learning the CW dirrection. Both have their interesting poiints. I agree that T15, 14 and 13 are very challenging especially the set up fo T15. That is going to be my focus this DE. The rest of the track flows very well from this direction. Unfortunately I get tunnel vision for T15 going CW. Any advice would be greatfully accepted.
