I think they are in the 100-250k range, some guys still run heavily modded ones in ADAC around the ring.

I speak from first hand experience when I say those are some of the most incredible cars to drive. Just listening to the RS200 Evo at idle, you could tell it wreaked of raw power (400-650, variable boost, specially built for a pikes peak run that never happened). Lets not even start with the acceleration!!!

Ohhh and just your typical MG Metro......

(Williams designed, Mid Engine, with a Cosworth V6 )

lest we forget they're all still british, and what sort of electronics they have (getting them started after 10 years in a barn)

Unfortunately they're all in the netherlands now

Yeah blame the Dutch! Cool pics thanks for posting...The MG had 2 engines at one point right? I vaguely remember something like that at least tested. In 1986 it was the first year that the Rally Championship was starting with a "super stage" which was more like Rally Cross. It was amazing fun watching in stadium format 2 GroupB beasts duking it out. I must say though that nothing compared up on the mountains a couple of feet way from a drifting group B! Dangerous but OMG

Fantastic old DTM video

There really was nothing like '80s and '90s DTM. Same goes for Group B.
That was awesome!! Great post!

Nice video MTosi. As someone who watches modern DTM (albeit in German) I couldn't agree more. It just isn't touring car racing anymore.

I went to Qualifying for the 24 hours at the ring this year. One of the support races was the ADAC 500 I believe and a guy named Schumacher won in a E30 M3 touring car. Quite impressive cars. There was one team running a x-Mercedes Taxi. Great experience.

Awesome video's

What about some BTCC with Mansel

Awesome stuff! Especially Group B. I remember seeing my first rally just about exactly 30 years ago, Audi was the only 4 wheel drive car, World Championship rally in Finland and when the first car, Markku Alen's Lancia, came by during the night (yes, back then there were night stages) I was scared silly seeing that thing fly by us between the trees!

Unbelievable stuff.
