Using fixed-back seats with 3-point OEM seat belts?
As I schedule my upgrades, I intend to get a set of proper seats (probably Sparco Evo 2 Plus) first. I assume I could use the OEM 3 point belts both for street use and on track before I get harnesses, right?

Well...
Doing that may reduce the effectiveness of the OE belt system, and in the extreme it can offer opportunities for the belts to fail. You need to sit in the seat, strap in, and study it and see how it reacts (in terms of architecture and path) to being used with your track seat setup.

Not so fast there. What do the lap bolsters look like? Do they interfere with the lap belt path? If they keep the lap belt from snugging down onto the right points of the pelvic bone then you have problems.
IMO Get the stuff at the same time and get it all to work together as intended.

From what I recall they are. The belts though must be routed properly though. Maybe there was a TSB or the such on belt install with the RoW sGT3 seats.

Greg,
You'll need to find a place to attach the inboard lap belt mount. On the factory seat it is part of the seat itself.
I use my 3-points w/ my Sparco Evo2 for street driving. Granted, it is not optimal (thigh bolsters keep the belt from snugging against my pelvis) but for the rare street drives I take it's a tradeoff I'm willing to make. However, I would NOT consider relying on the 3-points for the track using the Sparco seat.
I'll be at SP this weekend if you want to check out my setup. I'm #301, silver 951. Or you can come by my house anytime.

How would you route a 3 point lap belt through the holes? You would drag the shoulder belt through with it as it is conected to the lap and the buckel.

Any ideas on where to mount the inboard receptacle? Just bolt through the tunnel? (Probably easier said than done.)

I just have the 3-point going over the seat. I never considered running through the seat holes but it may work.
I drilled the tunnel and put in an eye bolt, then used a D-ring? to attach the factory inboard connector to it. The connector no longer stands up when unhooked but not a big deal. Please note, this is not a DOT-approved arrangement. Nothing to hit when drilling on the driver's side but locate it so it's not directly against the exhaust hanger.

I managed to route the 3 point belts through the holes the lap holes of my Recaro PPs with no problems. I've sinced replaced the normal belt receivers (as shown) with the rear belt receivers as these are more flexible and therefore route through the tunnel-side holes better. I'm much happier that the lap belt is snug across my abdomen as it's meant to be. I've since added harnesses but have kept the 3 points for street driving.

The receptacle end fits through the other-side-hole also, just as in the photo above.
I used the stock mounting points for the hardware and did NOT drill into the tunnel for the receptacle.
it's a bit of a squeeze getting it to fit this way, but doable and it passes tech.
shoulder belt over the wing is not ideal, but acceptable IMO.
this works for me until i drill anchor holes for sub belt.
