I know right? I mean look at all the SPBOX registered for Road America. I think they will come in first and second.
Really? Really?? I haven't seen you in my run group in quite a while. Oh yeah, that's cuz I'm in the Club Race Group. And yes, your car with like 3x the HP could easily pass me. I was just being nice and letting you pass because those were the rules. I suspect in equal cars you might have a tougher time now.(Notice I said your car could pass me, not you)
Where's that "Niger, please" avatar when I need it?

I would _love_ to be out there in equal cars. I'm all for that. Now, if we could just convince everybody to buy the same thing...

15 posts/page is the default setting. Looks like Peter has it set to 20/page.
Is there a way we can delete Post #367? I know that VR is trying to flaunt his mistress and all, but come on. Even with the removal, this thread will make it over 30...

I was hoping you wouldn't bring up that whole "Club Race run group" thing. That's the only flaw in my argument. I doubt I have anywhere near 3x your horsies, but it is more. Don't forget that I've been running R6s (in bigger sizes) lately, too. That's probably as big a difference as the HP...

We will soon see the best and least expensive car to build a racer out of. Holes are just begining to appear in the SPBOX argument, namely the availability of those cheap crate motors from Porsche. I hear they are almost all gone and the few that are left are not so cheap anymore. The suspensions are weak and don't like to go off track or over curbing so in order to beef them up to handle hard and heavy track use you gotta dump a ****load of money putting the 997 (I think?) suspension under it. Maybe it's the GT3 suspension, I don't friggin know, whatever it is.
SC's are proven sturdy track cars that if you do a little work yourself and build them right the first time will prove to be a much more trouble free race car than any SPBOX will ever be. (For the same amount of money)
I dont wanna start another SPBOX argument. These are just my personal opinions and observations.

Now, now Cupcake. Not an argument, but a few statements.
Although I'm one of the guys that hedged on limited availability of 2.5L crate reman motors, and have one sitting up at the shop, it is expected that the supply won't run dry. Handful in the US currently, should be more shortly back in the Motherland.
I have had my fair number of farming excursions in the old '01S without any major suspension damage. I believe JW's excursion @ ECR was atypical, not sure if any car would not have sustained some damage. As for the cars that were assembled incorrectly, that's a completely different story.
I was ready to pull the trigger on Molny's SC, but decided to go with the BSR. IMHO, operating cost "should" be cheaper. Only time will tell....
Good luck at RA, wish I could go. New job + no trailer = no go.
