New light weight Track Wheels
#31
I just got Kodiak racing Wheels, nice finish and a very good price. Very light forged wheels, much like CCW, but w/ a better finish. There is guy on the other board who has better prices than are posted on Kodiaks site. PM me and i'll give you his email, if you like

Mike-
They are Porsche caps that I had CCW accommodate in advance because the wheels truly are custom made.
They sit a little proud but I haven't had them on enough to worry about machining them to fit flush.

I run the older CCW 3-piece Classics in the track series. Mine are 17 x 9 and 10 (18 and 18.5 lbs) on an early offset 951. I love them but as mentioned the forged center on the track series is very sharp on the back and I have to be careful also when mounting or washing them. I still feel they are one of best 'no-frills' wheels out there.

What do you have against Kodiaks?? The Fiskes are a premium wheel and the have do have a better finish, but not enough in my book to demand almost 2 x the $$$. The weight on both wheels is very similar and the barresl look very similar in construction. The noticeable differences in finish are only visible before the rim goes on the car or if you kneel down and inspect the wheel. For your non-Concours street car or trackmobile they are real nice.

i have the RR-10's marketed by lindsey racing in oklahoma.
the wheels are made by bogard racing in ca.
no sharp edges, plus they have steel seats for the lug nuts.
3+ years with no issues.

We've recently made new CCW caps for Porsche applications. They look very simular to the factory caps but can be removed and the stock Porsche caps will bolt in place; your choice. The wheels are cut different to accept these caps but will be done as default for any Porsche fitment.

Way back when, you were always required to run at the track without caps. It seems that most DE events today have gotten away from that requirement. Why you might want to run with caps on doesn't make sense.
They're just something else which could come off the car in the event you were to have "an incident".
By the way, I bought the C10's from CCW, along with RA1's, for my GT3. Great wheels at a great price. I'd recommend them.
