I was in and out all day today. The track is holding up well. There are a couple of spots where they had to hand lay pavement because the paver cannot turn as tight as some of the corners. They tamped it down by hand and then rolled it with the rest of the pavement. They're not sure why but the pavement is a little rough in these sections. They are at the apex of the first curb in the uphill chicane and the exiting apex out of west bend chicane. You can see the darker spots. It's not coming apart, it's just that some of the little stones in the aggregate or pulling out.

The green bumpers had to come out. Then then stopped them again to take the bolts out of the cement that were left behind after the bumpers were pulled. I got this from talking to the TV talent, I didn't see it first hand.

Michelin was expecting very high wear and isn't seeing it...but that was at around 2:00 today so maybe it's changed since.

The new viewing area by the west bend chicane is primo.

The Dyson 16 Spyder at the 2nd apex of the uphill kink.
There was a lot of dirt sweeping as grass didn't grow in 1 week.
