I always loved the JPS paint jobs, so I had to vote for the Lotus 72. Though the W196 is very beautiful as well.

As much as it pains me to admit it, that picture of the McLaren MP4 is 2nd to none. I love the funk of the Tyrell however.

Symtek 94 2 nd runner up ....
the 191 7up is super cool, but not even in the same league as the 72' JPS

Dude, honestly, do you always have to interject your obsession with ***** into every thread. It's okay if your into that, but leave it at home.

btw anyone notice I put the MP4 with Kimi driving, the viking horns and without the bridge wing? the new one with the bridge win just isn't as cool

I see that good sense is (slightly) prevailing.

The Lotus 49 is FAR (AND AWAY) the best looking GP car ever made.

The terrific photo of Fangio drifting the Maserati F250 is a fantastic shot, but the lines of the Lotus 49 are PERFECT, IMNSHO.

Must agree w/Eric. Lotus 72 in JPS. Recorded Top Gear Monday. The Stig drove that car around their test track at 2:15 to set a benchmark for the Merc. C-class AMG (2:48), Audi RS4 (2:48), and new Bimmer M3 (2:39), all times IIRC.

Re. MDL's "More passing in that video than the last 5 years in F-1", I watched the Silverstone race this weekend. Actually a bunch of passing, pit strategy and tire strategy. All F1 races from now on should be run in intermittent rain.

Mclaren MP4 4/5/6 for the purity of line and shape, no wasted effort.
