Hi Dan,
Don't get too excited about the repave. It's probably worse than before they paved it. (Search some of the posts.) I usually stay in Charles Town, because it's reasonably close to the track. You can go from mild to wild re: accomodations. . . Holiday Inn or Town House, etc.
Take care..................... George

I'll be there. I only have 4 track days there and have not been there since it was repaved. I'll be in white.

I stayed at the Best Western in Winchester.. Any better suggestions?

See you there again!

Wife in her 964, me in the SC. We stay at the Travel Lodge in Win. Nice clean basic room, at a decent Government rate.

Potomac put on a nice, 1st class show last weekend at Watkins Glen. A lot of the Rennlisters parked in the Pluto area of the paddock. We all had a blast.

Maybe we can get a Rennlist area for us at Summit Point. Just a thought.

Lots of folks stay in Winchester. It's a bit further of a drive from the track, no?
I always stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Charles Town.
Am I missing out on some excitement down there, or something (??) . . . . :bigbye:

Lots of good places to stay in ChuckCity, while Funchester is a little further to drive.......
The "repave", after last winter's sectional replacements has not fared well. Sealer has beed applied to what is left of the line in turns 1, 5, and 6 the last two Fridays, the rippled rutts keep coming apart.....
Still, the rest of the track is doing OK, and a fun track it is. George, hope we can stop by and say "Hi"!

Hey, buddy..... How've you been?
You can stop by any time, Martin. Look for my blue GT3, #145.
I'll have a cold one for you both... after the track closes !

Are you driving at this event ??

I would love too, but the Potomac guys want me to run in the green group. It would not much fun for me, suspect it would not be alot of fun for those in the green group as well, not to mention tieing up on of their instructors.......
but we will plan on a visit to sa "hi" to you!

George3 07-04-2008 10:19 PM

Maybe I can go out on a check-out ride with you

Seriously, though... if you haven't run with Potomac before, that's SOP. After a check-out ride you'll be in Red after the first session. Afterall, you are an instructor.

Hey, Alan.... Martin belongs in Red. He is an Instructor.
