Default Lodging at VIR - The Villas

Back in May, during the First Settlers event, we were lucky enough stay at the Villas. The lodge and garage rooms were sold out and we were thinking of staying in town somewhere... Thanks to Jim McNemar for thinking of us and calling to see if we wanted to splitting the unit with him!

Below is why you want to consider staying at the Villas at VIR...

View of the action at the track is amazing...

The accomodations are also worth the price... These are two story units that you can "split"... Lots of space. We had so much more enjoyment and relaxation this past event in may... It's pricey, but worth it, especially if you bring the family with you to the track...

What a great spot! Are those privately owned townhouses Mike or part of one establishment?

Ahhh, NNJR and VIR... I think not unless they have removed certain people of authority and changed their workload demands (4 hours of duty, minimum), which I highly doubt. I'll ask my contact in the region.

Gary, They're privately owned townhomes that you can rent, timeshare structured. You can rent the whole unit or just one level. They also have garages attached to each unit.

The Villas are great but I prefer to stay at the Lodge. Just make sure before you commit to "x" number of guys to split one, that you FULLY understand the sleeping options. Just b/c it "sleeps" 8 does NOT mean there are 8 beds or even 4 king beds that you can get cozy in

Heading out for VIR later today to make the 60 mile trek

Does anyone know what the rental rates are for the Villa's? I'm assuming the DE dates cost less then pro race events.

Thx.

The cost of the Villas when my wife and I looked into buying one was 460K. No thanks. I don't remember what the rental rate was but it varies depending on if you rent 1 or both floors.

I had a spreadsheet that listed all the rates based on what time of year but I can't find it in my mail folders. sorry.

Some of the Camp Motorsport folks this summer have one of the Villas. Very nice and a great view as everyone said. One garage spot and carport area as well. Much nicer than the house in Milton much of the driving staff is staying in.

IIRC the pricing is now slightly higher than the price Dell mentioned. At least the number someone mentioned in the last few days.

<----- 2 mile drive to VIR.

Joe, I am willing to bet they are higher than 460K now considering we were looking last Fall. The pricing is just insane though. See ya tonight!
