I'm sticking by my prediction that, as financially motivated individuals, these track owners at some point see their business maturing and will wonder how they can better utilize the days when there are only a handful of people taking advantage of the amenities. The gears will quickly start turning and they'll realize they can get $20k/day and more if they rent it out to a club while only inconveniencing a small number of members in the process. Pretty soon these clubs will become a mix of Country Clubber's and car club...sort of the business model Lime Rock has already adopted. I think the one's that will lose out are the charter members who bought in to the notion that it would be 100% exclusive.

Another prediction, we'll have a Club Race there within 3 years.

It is actually 2 smaller tracks that can be confgured into 1 large track and all configurations can be run forwards and backwards for 6 different configurations. This track is in our Region and we will be on the track this year.

well it looks like a cool track and hey with only a few hundred trees to dodge when hedge fund guys go off track in their ferraris, I'm sure most of them will survive and live to brag about it.

125k? LOL. People do pay that much for golf memberships, which to me is much more pointless and even lamer...but even if I was a millionaire goomba I can't see spending that much just to be a member- they're still going to have to pay monthly dues and fees for happy endings in the 4-star spa.

more tracks will drive costs down. The more people involved, the more popular it becomes, the more we all benefit. If the high cost clubs don't succeed, then they'll have to come and let us use their tracks. Besides, we're all making so much money Club Racing, it's only a matter of time before we can afford to join in....

having entrepreneurs with no concept of return on capital can help us all in the end at their expense. now if only banks would re-open their coffers for more of these money-pits.

Private race tracks usually are excellent investments....for their second owners.

So, it's a lot like investing in building out a race car?
