I'm interested in hearing about track applications for the 951, since there seems to be growing enthusiasm for tracking Porsches for the heck of it here in Spain, yet most are essentially late models in street trim with some suspension and exhaust mods and I don't think they're actually "competing" in any amateur classes.

I've been reading about people in the States having fun on the track with the 951 for years and would like to see more of that here. Thanks for the responses.

Especially given your role in the local club!

Luis,
There is a very strong European group on the 944 Turbo & TurboS forum that really know the 951 and the Euro suppliers. Given you are thinking about a track day car, without the restrictions of a stock race class, then you have some terrific options with the 951. The stock brakes are terrific, so the main areas are improved suspension, wheels & tires, and lots of very well knows engine enhancements which are mainly bolt-on parts that will get you to 300HP+. All that, and you'll have a car that will be capable of embarrassing many, many high dollar cars and will be a real joy to drive.

Suggest you do some reading on that board to get the general idea, then ask for some guidance on specifics. I'll keep an eye out for you on that forum, and will help if I can.

I checked the By-Laws. You'd have to institute impeachment proceedings, and my administration will be out before you could get it done. Sound familiar?
[That's supposed to be funny, OK?]

Yes, but I believe Luis was referring to the metaphorical "bang."

I love seeing the blue beast all over this thread. Tony, (APKHaos) are you a customer of Ivan's? I can't remember if we've met or not.
