Oh that type of "regular"
**not regular as in a M64 not M96**

FYI.....NASA posts their index on the website for GTS classification and the formula. You need the weight and a certified dyno from an authorized facility. Simple as that.

I know ! That's pretty cool. I need another liter and then some to get that kind of power out of an S4 928. But again, it is 21 years old too

I just wanna know what other than the obvious things are needed to get to that level of RWHP out of a M96 3.6.

I saw that Cosmos' car has cams, custom race flash, evoms air intake, likely headers and straight/catless exhaust.

Wondering about injectors, higher pressure fuel pumps and other unknowns.

actually, last i heard, they had to keep the stock manifolds and i think the 996 got to remove the cats, while the 997s had to keep them???? i forget, but i was surprised how many things had to be left alone. It was really about the flash of the ECU. obviously, they have a pretty open exhaust system, but im not sure about the headers. 310wrhp is pretty impressive for a 3.6 street motor.

I remember the 2001 cup engines were only making around 330rwhp in the day.

The folks over at Apex Speed Technologies (different company) can tell you all sorts of things they can do to a standard 996/7 to make it more race worthy. They are experts at "detaching" the engine management from the PSM from the anti-theft from the etc etc ...
