Only if you work for a Three Letter Acronym agency.

LOL! I have a feeling PCA will eventually do an event there, when cash flow requirements exceed what is currently coming in. No idea when that will happen, however.

Dave/James -- hey, Trickett here. Have either of you ever driven the "Grand Prix" circuit at Driveway Austin?

I had an email dialog with Dolahite (sp?). It seems that right now they are going to strictly stick to their business model of making everyone run through their "coursework" to get qualified to run solo on it.

While I can certainly understand that they want to fully check people out before letting them loose, it sure would be nice if they had some sort of "advance placement testing" so I wouldn't have to spend all the money (about $3500 if I tallied properly) and time (lots of run sessions on the half-mile course) just to run solo. I hope they will change their minds about that sometime in the future, I would be interested if they do.

Hey Andrew!!! Good to see you recently!

I have driven it, but only in a P71 Crown Vic and a FWD Malibu, finding cool places to do forward & reverse 180's.

That business model has always puzzled me, to say the least. And I will leave it at that.

Howdy David! Yeah, I will just have to bide my time and wait to see if the old revenues vs. expenses thing changes their mind... or whether they have figured out a brilliant new business model for motorsports.

One thing I would do there if they started -- they gonna do stunt driving classes or anything like that for non-police types? You know, for us people who might be running away from the police?

I don't know. Because the "clients" provide the vehicles, it is a lot easier to manage. I tend to doubt Bill would want to buy a fleet of beaters for civilian courses. But what do I know?

I know his investors have deep pockets--maybe they are running the place for tax losses? Beyond that, I have a hard time seeing how it will make money. But again, what do I know?
