Are you aware of anyone that has done so successfully lately?

IIRC didn't a 997 GT3 with aftermarket headers get black flagged at Tremblant last year while stock 997 GT3s were ok?

The engine and exhaust in my car are unmodified. Cats are in it.

Yes, a 997 GT3 with aftermarket exhaust busted the sound limit. 993 with supercup (fabiani) with cats pass sound. With headers and or removed cats, no.

so I guess that means 996 or 997 cups without turn downs do not have a chance?

Oh No, you're coming back! You're not going to bring that Feibus character with you, are you?

Actually, you might be okay. I was amazed how quiet your car was at Sebring a couple of weeks ago. I even asked Steve if you had a street GT3 exhaust, the tone was much lower than I would expect from a Cup car.

FWIW, 2 Rennsport 993's were on track (LCMT) last year w/ Supercups, with and without turndowns, and both passed sound.

From trackside, I was shocked at how much the turndowns quiet things down. Both sounded great!
