Probably a dumb question, but how much, if any, of the armco, curbing, fencing, etc. is permanent along the course? Is it all erected shortly before the race?

pretty sure it is all up for the race only. The exception is the pit area.
Any pictures of A.F.'s drift into the tires?

I wasnt over there, would have loved to get pictures of that.

They start putting up things 2 months prior to the race. Some things, like the curbing there on the hairpin is built into the roadway. During race week, The tracks armco/fencing/tire barrier is up for the majority, openings are made for crosswalks/streets. Its put up/taken down each morning/evening for foot and vehicle traffic to pass.

I'll be taking more and posting up all of them in a gallery when I get back state-side. For now, I gotta get back to the roof for GP2 cars!

Two weeks til Montreal!

A few of us on the 993 board and OT have threatened a GTG after qualifying on Saturday. Who's in?

Qualifying tomorrow morning. Based on last years domination by McLaren and Ferrari's lack of confidence at this venue, it's hard not to predict a McLaren front row for the start of the race. Monaco being Monaco, there will be carnage and I believe only one mac with finish the race. I hope it's Heikki, but more than likely it will be Hamilton, further tightening the gap to Kimi in the WC points lead. I can't see Ferrari doing better than 3-5 in this race. Weather conditions are still, pardon the pun, up in the air at this point.
