Of course being flat from T1 to the braking zone translates into 145+ MPH which is a thrill. Now if I had better rubber than streets (P.S. 19" PSC is NOT a PSC, it's a PS2 with a different tread pattern - I learned this the hard way by buying a set and running them at Cups & Saucers) then maybe it wouldn't be as hairy to stay flat in the Esses. Not enough grip to be even near flat in the Carousel in this car - The 385 HP with 235/295 street rubber just can't hold on. Otherwise, flat away...
Ron, quick question, did you have the PSM on or off?

I didn't think the PSM would let you get 20 degrees sideways......

No offense, but there is no way you were 20 degrees sideways in the esses and still have a car in one piece. The esses can feel goofy up there no doubt, and your car may not have the grip to do it flat out on streets.

"Just treat it like the uphill at Limerock, dive in and the front will compress, hard throttle and up you go!"

If I could figure out how, I'd show you a clip of me 20 degrees sideways and then back on track after correcting at the top of the esses at about 110 and Flat... It ended up being a reasonable, yet sloppy, 2:16 lap. I've never seen PSM in action, probably because the 997 version is very progressive. You have to be very out of sorts for it to interfere and I can't say I've been that out of sorts yet in this car. As I said in my original reply, I'm on the 19" version of the PSCup, which is actually a hybrid. Tread pattern is very similar to a cup, but with wider rain channels. But the compound is PS2, which I know intimately.

Larry,
I take the sealed wheel bearings apart (sealed double roller bearings) and repack them with high quality grease. What you find with many oem bearings, is that they are lacking the proper amount of grease. I get much better life out of the bearings than I did before I used to disassemble them.

Think of the rotor not running true and wobbling as it rotates...
