Interior work to my track car
Hi guys,
Thought I would post some pics of what I have done for the last 40 hours of the weekend whilst the wife has been away. Be gentle as this is the first time I have done this. Removed all old interior and set about work on the tar strips. Tried dry ice (but the only thing that came off was the underseal under the car and NOT the tar!!!!!
Plumber the extinguisher in to the fuel tank, engine comparttment and also MY crotch
GOt some grip strips coming this week for the floors to finnish it off. Next is to finish the kill switch and then cut my lexan windows. Does it ever end?

That does look nice and clean... funny I spent my weekend doing much of the same. Got mine caged recently and after two races it really needed to get painted before it started to rust. So I tore the interior back out on Friday and set in with some Rustoleum Smoke Grey on everything. Your center panel even is pretty close to mine... I bought a longacre pushbutton starter panel and mounted it on aluminum there along with my traqmate display.
What exactly did you do for the door panels?
Here's a pic I took early Saturday... painted some on Friday night to see how the color would turn out. After a long day today I managed to get it all done, just no pics yet. It's amazing how no matter how much you scrub it still looks nasty... and then you paint and it looks nice and clean.

I just used plasticote spray wheel paint from a can than a coat of laquer to seal. I am putting grip strips down where peoples feet will go (same as covers skateboards) so should protect the paint and give a grippy surface
