Awesome stuff! Especially that winter gatebil, makes me miss the snow (but not the salty slush...)
Friend of mine is moving from US back to Finland and I was kinda bummed for him because now he can't drive on the tracks so much but he then reminded that there (Finland) you can drive to the track pretty much any day you want (as long as it's not winter & there's no race going), pay the 50 euros fee and drive for the whole day as much as you like...

I've driven in Ahvenisto but only with motorcycle (and that was friend's) so I don't have a really good idea how fun will it be with the car.
Neither of them is great but for 50 euros, I'll drive there any day if I can.

Carfreaks just opened their season at Alastaro circuit. The track is quite pathetic with regards to the scenery and it being completely flat with absolutely no elevation changes but It's still plenty of fun. As a hint, the biggest differences are made in the two fast corners just before and after the 180-dgr bend (Palmas). Gotta have big ***** and good slicks to take them flat out, but it can be done!
Here's the CF story:

And a nice incar video of Honda Challenge car testing at the Alastaro track:

I've never driven at Ahvenisto but I've been there. Old, pretty historic track with elevation changes so it should be pretty cool.

Keep in mind also that Nurburgring is relatively close too; just take an overnight superfast ferry to Rostock and a couple of hours drive in Germany and your there...
Norway is a great country! Really! They have awesome scenery (lots of mountains, fjords etc.) and beautiful blond women. The only downside is it is expensive as hell in there!

...Petu, the season ticket for Alastaro is €365+tax. When you buy it, you can go and drive all you want whenever there is free practise, which is practically every single day except for summer weekends...
