Default Man this *&#@%*!+ slope is slippery!

All excited about the first weekend of the season in the track car and it looks like Pocono is going to be really wet. Well thats going to suck with slicks so I get a set of tires that can handle the rain (Falken RT-615's). I get them installed while having the car tech'd and an idle problem corrected. Now it looks like the rain isn't going to be that big an Issue and my set of Hoosiers are sitting naked. I guess an extra set of wheels is the next step down the slope.

When does the madness stop!

I'd really like to have 4 sets:

Practice slicks
Stickers for qualifying/race
Wets
Intermediates

Ideally, I'd bring another set of only slightly used slicks for the enduro!

You really do need three sets minimum. One for wets, one for heat cycling and one for racing. I am pissed because I only have two sets and every weekend I go to race, it rains. I'll never get to knock the rains off to heat cycle new Hoosiers.

Wets? What's that?

(I do really enjoy wet tracks, but we really never have them out here during racing season, anyway.)

Please see the thread, $$$$ How much money do you spend on a race weekend?

The way I see it, we're all doing our part to not let the country fall deeper into recession.

Sometimes the slope resembles more of a free fall.

Now where the hell did that reserve chute go.

Try the tracks a bit north of you....you will mount the wets on the car when you leave for the track.
