Nice write up. So what did you do with the seat belt light and what kind of lift are you using?
With the Boxster seats you've got a ground wire and also a wire running to the seats that senses a butt in it. We didn't want to hack up the seats to get to the sensor (future re-sale) so we tried pulling the ground connector off of the seats. Andrew plugged in the connector to the wiring harness in the car and we didn't throw a light. We never touched the bulbs in the gauge cluster.
As far as the lift, I bought an EZ Carlift (www.ezcarlift.com). Not cheap, but I have no buyers remorse on the thing. I take it to the track and it comes apart easily for storage. You need a touquey electric drill to wind it up and down. It's all mechanically driven with worm gear. I like it.
With a nice leisurely pace and stopping for lunch we did all of the mechanical items (Seats, harness bolts, front and rear AR bars and brake line/pads in about 6 hours. I had a concert to go to that night so I did the alignment the next morning.
For my car we hit it pretty hard. We were able to build it in 8 days including cage. But I did not pull the AC or heat yet. I'll finish that off in the next couple of months.
