If proximity to the track and price is your biggest concern, I've heard it's not bad and a decent price. The attached restaurant Steakhouse 68 is very good. Away from downtown so not the best place if you're bringing the SO or family.

I thought you were a union guy. Geez, what kind of guy do you work for that you can't get some time off for six months! (Speaking as a lifetime self-employed person who is back to a seven day a week grind due to an expansion spurt....)

Having NOT bothered to take my Radical down there over the years (yes, sound issues), the only thing I have to compare is 14 at Thunderhill, or at Buttonwillow coming off of Magic Mountain into Star Mazda (all the way down). Yeah, makes a street car pretty wimpy.

So the WreckMeOtter B&B is full for the holiday weekend? Where's your hospitality!

I was too ignorant to think that they were nuts. Luck of the draw, I'm the first one out, and on my first try I came screaming down the hill with my hair on fire... didn't even lift until I got to the braking zone... and had my first and only meeting with the gravel pit. At least I went off straight and had the sense use reverse to dig myself out on my own.

C.J. Does Skippy have classes in late October? I hope you will be too busy to make it.

worth the drive to the Marriott. The Hyatt is a dump.
Cones get punted in day three. Turn left and aim for the tree

I can't believe no one has mentioned the Baja Cantina. Have any of you really been to Monterey?

BTW, CJ, October is one of the best months of the year in Monterey for weather.

Would love to, but quite frankly, don't want to spend the cash, and definitely don't have the time to do it twice.

I only caught your thread today, so it's too late to convince you to go to Laguna. The course was great. It got fogged in on two of the mornings, which delayed the fun for a bit. Randy Buck is a cool instructor. These guys catch nearly everything you're doing. The only disappointment was that we didn't get to run laps until the last day with no rev restrictions. Have fun!
