Targa Newfoundland on Speed
Hi everyone,
Anyone interested in viewing Targa Newfoundland 2007, it will air on Speed on April 13, 2008 at 12:00pm Eastern Time. It will also air April 19th at 11:00am ET.
Those of you that know me know I've run it the past few years with varying degrees of results. Unfortunately, 2007 was a bad year all around as we wrecked the car pretty bad on day 1 (flipped end over end). We were fine, but the car was trashed (though it's being rebuilt right now). For a full account of our trip, go to www.naroescapemotorsports.com and click on the news section about not having a good trip to Targa.
In the Speed show, they have our in-car video from the wreck....a wild ride indeed!
Take the time to watch it. It is very well produced and really shows the excitement of the highs and lows of one of the most grueling week long races you could ever be a part of.

Same here. Not sure what our schedule is this year, I know I'm running the VIR Club Race, but past that, no clue. Maybe we'll be up at the Glen again, who knows.....
How's everything up in NNJR going? We saw Arlene a few weeks ago for some of the Parade safety stuff.... (you coming down for Parade?)

Bob I met you at Exclusive last November when I had my Black Boxster S and was going to do the DE at CMP. You showed me Huey and I was shocked you and the wife weren't hurt. I'll surely check out the show.
How is Bill? I haven't had a chance to catch up with him in about three weeks. Great guy!

Funny write up. I grew up in Newfoundland, and when I went away to my first year of University in Nova Scotia, I also found out that there is nothing open on the west end of the island at night as my old Jetta sputtered to a halt on the side of the highway out of gas. Luckily someone came along with a full gas can in their truck.
Sorry to hear about the car, but look on the bright side, you didn't do a "Seko" and put it in the harbor A few friends that drove the Targa last year said that wooden bridge was like ice and they were lucky to not pitch it in the woods with the others.

Bill's good, he's putting Huey back together now, so hopefully he will be ready by Parade at the end of June...
Very true, but I'm not sure which was worse, putting it in the water, or flipping it end over end. Mind you, we were at least dry...
