Yes that BS move was all Salo...right after he was out cooling off his feet. They ended up retiring right before Henzler & Bergmeister did.

Yeah, Melo is as bad as Salo.
Do Ferraris make people retarded, or is it that you have to be retarded to drive a Ferrari?

Yeah, Patrick Long was glaring too.
So Patrick moved from LA to Florida, is he getting ready to retire already?

Just watched it again this morning. It was Salo, and it was a total BS move. This is going to another interesting season. Any bets on how long it takes for another F-car driver to get run out of the series? Last year it was Enge who won the asshat award, right?

Yes, he finally got the boot after Mid Ohio. At Lime Rock he had destroyed 3 other cars and taken his own car out.

I'm a big Patrick Long fan, but he seemed to be involved in three incidents yesterday. Anyone hear of repercussions on those?

OK, I'm sure I'll take some crap for saying this, but I thought the IRL race today was entertaining. Some good racing going on. Actual passing, unlike most F1 races I've seen in recent years. The Rahal family has got to be loving it.

mglobe, I also liked the IRL race today. IRL is going to be great this year. I went to the St. Pete GP and ALMS and IRL are very fan friendly and I had a blast spending time in the padocks and watching awesome racing.

Yep, not good!

Penske’s Long and Maassen Docked Points After St. Pete Battle Royale

St. Petersburg, Florida Pat Long's desire to win can't be questioned, but his avoidable contact has been called into question by IMSA. (Photo: Marshall Pruett) » More Photos
Third place LMP2 finishers Patrick Long and Sascha Maassen found their result modified after a rough and tumble day for the #6 Penske Porsche RS Spyder. While the finishing order remains intact, the thirteen points thrid place would have paid has been reduced to ten points after International Motor Sports Association officials deemed Long’s contact with Butch Leitzinger at the end of the race as avoidable. Leitzinger’s subsequent crash would rob the Dyson team of a potential podium finish and also caused the retirement of the GT2 class leading Flying Lizards #45 Porsche, and the #61 Risi Ferrari entry.

That sounds fair to me as Patrick screwed Dyson and Flying Lizard with that late move.

A few drivers have driven both the new RSR and F430 GTC.

2007 LMS Champions Virgo Motorsport took the GT2 win in Spain today.

I missed the race...at what point in the race did the #45 Porsche get taken out?
