I just signed up for my first track event with my C4S at Loudon. The last time I drove Loudon was around 1980 when it was a little 1.6 mile 10 turn track with no NASCAR and I don't even recall any seating areas!

I ran Loudon at least 12-15 events back then in a modified Rx7 and a group called COM (Corvettes of Massachusetts). Ironically, there were only a handful of vettes at the club events. For anyone that may have been with them at the time, I ran in ST-2.

I don't know what it looks like now, but the paddock area was simply a dirt parking lot at that time. I vividly recall one event where for some reason I decided to go forward out of my space instead of backing out and ran over my removable sunroof. It was a horrible feeling.

So,....anyone here going to be up at NHIS that weekend? Jay Gratton?
I of course will be in Green since I've not tracked in 20+ years!!!!!

I'm excited about getting back into it.

There also is an event there on April 30-May 1. Why wait till august. :-)

 

I'll most likely be there. Haven't signed up yet though.

 

Unfortunately a weekday event just won't work for me this season.

Well it's partially your fault Alfie for sponsoring the Autocross thingy last summer which made me remember how much fun I used to have years ago at the track.

I just wish I could make room for an event that's not such a long time away.
