Crazy weather on Saturday, unfortunately took some hail damage to the Mitsubitchy's aluminum hood, roof and deck lid. Today was beautiful, decided to remove the ABS fuse to get rid of the numb brake feel and flat-spotted 4 new Hoosiers at 150+ coming into 10A...that was exciting!

I had an awesome time! My first race couldn't be more eventful. The miatas look like ants going everywhere on Sat. I cut across the grass in 10A to avoid a collision. It was a blast! I wished I would have got the chance to meet some more of you guys. Stayed too busy learning the track and car and keep the family safe and entertained. I'm going to post some pics and my experience later...might be helpful to people that have never raced. Rob and his family at Roar Racing were just terrific. I like that there are a lot of cars...but it will thin at less attractive tracks I think.

I attended the NASA event at RA last year. It was very crowned and really hectic. I did not even consider going this year.
I am, however, doing CMP in April w/NASA. I hope it is a little tamer.

Sunday was a good dry sunny day. We had 56 racers that survived Friday and Saturday to make the Blitz Sunday race.
MM, The suspension worked great.
TB, I qualified first in 944Cup but my time was DQ'd because I made a pass on the front straight when a bright, blinding SUN behind the Starter flag station obscured the worker and flag being displayed. I was not the only one that was guilty of this offense but there were many that did the same thing and were not nabbed. However, I started 16th in the 944Cup/Super Cup race 55th in the Blitz group and finished 5th in class and 30th in the Blitz group. Brian Landfried qualifed 3rd in Cup and finshed First.
The track is in great shape.

I was there.
Saturday was a lot of fun in the rain, but than the tornado warnings cut in and we lost the afternoon.
It was very busy indeed, as an instructor you get decent track time as long as you run in all groups. Still too many cars and too many groups result in only getting 10 minutes of track time each session.
I did the time trial, but the AMB system from NASA does not send the times to the in car display from AMB.
I prefer Chin, more driving time. No Time Trial but that is OK for me.
If anyone interested in 2 AMB displays and 2 Transponders:

I have 2 $150each with 12V in car and 110V chargers. They work with the AMB 260transponders, I have 2 of those also, $420 each new, I will sell $200.00 each.
Here are my last few laps of Sunday, it was a beatiful day:

I ran the Koni RX8, number 61. I was mainly just someone to pass for the weekend as everything (car, track, racing) was a first time for me. Quite a bit different than pointing by in a DE.

Hey Roger, good working with you on Friday. What a hectic day. After sitting out the race in the rain on Saturday, the race on Sunday more than made up for it. What a blast. Hope to see you at Roebling in May.
