Default 24 Hours of Lemons...Anyone one here done it?

Just wondering if anyone here has done this thing.
Some buddies have asked me to do it with them at CMP in South Carolina.

Curious as to how the event went.

Sounds like some cheap racing fun.

I have never done the event, but have always followed it with some weird fascination. I would do it with the right group of people.

By the "right group of people" you mean drivers over 6' & 225 lbs so that we all can fit into the car, right?

Yes!

I think the event reminds me of my very first cars, where every day was 24 Hours of Lemons.

I think there were two 944 teams last year that were Rennlisters.

I can't think of one redeeming quality about something like that.... wait, it is held at a race track.

A race track with your buddies in a car that doesn't matter. Why not?

Oh yeah baby!!!!

All I can say is Do it, Do it, Do it.

Still makes me giggle.

October 2007 in Altamont. The "Keg Kar" ('90-something Eagle Talon)
December 2007 at Thunderhill. The "Rockford Pile" ( a '79 Firebird-Camaro hybrid)

Exactly. I can think of at least 3 of my old junkers that would've been great candidates as they were.

Bull
You, me and Larry & we try and get Dr. Timmins, we could find an old 924 or 944 for a couple of thousand - I think Larry will have to bulk up a little. We could go with a "Team Wookies" theme.

If anyone's looking for co-drivers, I would love to do it...

You would have to over 6ft and a plus sized model to be on "Team Wookie".

I'm guessing 3" lifts and about 15 layers of clothing won't cut it, huh?

The limit on car value and prep is $500 not including tires and safety gear.
