Yeah that's what makes it so appealing, the $500 limit on the donor car. The only way you could get outspent would be tires. I regret not doing it last year. I would love to take a crack at it if I weren't too busy building my "real" car. I will DEFINITELY do it at some point. Everyone I've talked to who has done it LOVE LOVE LOVED it.

Team Wookie Racing. I'm in. Also, good idea about Timmins. None of his cars are worth more than $500.

I think that his engines are pretty stout. That's where his pride is. To him a body is just a necessary evil in which his motors operate.

Dr. Timmins also does his own roll cages if I remember - pretty good ones from what I could tell.

I'm in! I think Larry will be OK if we go with the average weight. Who should we go after for sponsors? (at least one beer distributor, I would think!).

I think we should go after

Pizza Hut (as part of the sponsorship deal we get free delivery onsite).
Red Bull (they seem to sponsor everything that moves, plus maintaining my high blood pressure is important).
IHOP (We need breakfast support in the morning).
Guinness (it's like a meal).

Secondary Sponsors
Jenny Craig
Weight Watchers.

How about Pep Boys? Nothing like building a race car from their quality high performance parts!

I'd be willing to help drive and throw down 100 bucks or so... Depends on when it is and all that

Here is the one we are looking at. They have several around the country to choose from.

I think the food & beer budget for our group would cost more than the car.

I'd have better luck getting time off for the one in Toledo -- sorry I can't be of more help!

Bull
We'd need a donor 944 car, do you know of anything below $500 that can be had. Maybe Rick DeMan knows of something thats safe.
