They are pretty popular out west here, David Ray does a great job. I believe they franchised the business, so I have no idea how they are setup in the East, but if it's anything like here, it's a pretty solid experience with good amounts of track time.

+1 on the west coast experience. Top notch staff, well-organized, great group of folks with all kinds of cars, and good track time. I know David Ray pretty well and I would be extremely surprised if he allowed his first franchisee to be subpar in any significant way.

David Ray has team up with our local PCA chapter to run some events in N. California.
I have driven in that type of events and also under his Hooked on Driving days.
Good group of people. Instructors are pretty good and professional.
In fact, some of our PCA instructors also instruct in Hooked on Driving.

Our PCA requirement on checking cars days before the event is more strict
than HOD events.
I was surprise that HOD did not ask me for my tech sheet the first time.
But at the second event they did.
So you are more responsible for your car's readiness.

David Ray is a great guy and runs a fantastic organization with Hooked on Driving. You will not be disappointed, I'm sure.

We drove together on a team this past December at Thunderhill in a "24 Hours of Lemons" race put on by Jay Lamm and the gang. What a hoot!
