What boost do 944 turbo race cars run?? Just got one!!

Definitely look into GTS Challenge with NASA. Great racing. The next race is at Homestead in April. Oh, and NASA runs NASCAR 3 & 4 at Homestead instead of diving into the infield at turn 10!!! The Florida Region primarily runs Sebring and Homestead with the occasional trip to Moroso. You can qualify for the National Championships at Mid-Ohio by doing 4 weekends. We're doing it this year and will go to Nationals in September.
Go to www.gtschallenge.com and click on Rules. They will have the wgt/hp calculation and classes there.

thanks, I ran that last year in my 944S. Really had no one to run with and spent most of the time dodging the Cup cars!! It was still great fun especially with the NASCAR turns.
Plan to be there again this time just trying to get a car for the event!!
Dont want to run the TT in the DE!

Just thought I'd chime in.
Me and a couple of friends have been tracking 944 turbo's for the last 4-5 years.
Some observations:
- Start with a clean=revised engine. Bearings, gaskets, rings, the works, and blueprint it. A revised engine will last for at least 200 track hours
- An engine with stock internals is safe up to 15 psi, when you use one of the " old" turbos 26/8 and 27/8. You could go a bit higher like 18psi if you would use a "new" like T4 turbo. The older turbo's will start producing heat in stead of power at boost levels higher then 15 psi.
We have no experience with 26/6
- carefully tune and monitor your A/F, head gasket will blow very quick (1- 5 laps) if you run lean.
