Why another series? Nasa already supports GTS Challenge and 944 Cup.
As I understand, the classes in this new series are not recognized by NASA for registration. When running with NASA, all of the cars running in the series will run in existing NASA classes such as 944 Cup and GTS and the series will simply track points on their own for the their classes.

So in Mid-Atlantic (I don't know about NE), 944Cup/Supercup runs in Autobahn and GTS runs in Thunder.
Ken, How does that attain the goal of having similar speed Porsches all in 1 group? Why no rules for those of us with better power/weight?
Is this the same class they refer to in "Excellence" this month?
Looks like fun.
No.....out here we have the Porsche Racing Club, which just rents out run group(s) from NASA, HSR West, etc. Fully administered/scrutineered separately.
The Spec 911 class was created 7-8 years ago by Rich Walton (Jerry Woods Ent/Smart Racing), and that's just a specific class within the whole group that Pete Stout got involved with to write the Excellence article.
