Did that already, but for some reason I don't get sound on my laptop. But I would like to do the most basic of editing so that I could post some videos and not bore most people w 30 minute videos, just the best lap, most exciting spin/off etc etc

I do really appreciate the help

Erik, As I recall I had some sound related issues early on. I can't remeber specifically what I did to solve them. I use a Mac. I use the Mac software where I can (Quicktime Pro, iMovie, iDVD and Final Cut Express) and use Parallels to run Windows XP where I must run windows software - Traqview (for the Traqmate) and TrackVision (to put the data onto the Chasecam video). I will be switching to MoTeC for data this year instead of the Traqmate, but otherwise I'm very happy with the capabilities of the hardware and software. [I use a Mac Pro quadcore with 4 Gb of Ram and 4 Tb of disk space for most work and have a MacBook Pro laptop to take to the track]

Thanks Tom/Tony,

Don't really want to switch to Mac, although my wife has plenty of them. Gonna try Sony Vegas, and we'll see what happens. I think I can get a month free trial. I'll keep posted.

Heya guys, I have the same 7.2 DME ('99 boxster), and from the Bentley Manual I tapped pin D13 which is green/white. This is the Throttle Position #2 SIGNAL per the Bentley manual.

The problem is I get a 12v signal (varies from high 11v to low 13v), and does not vary when I move the throttle with the car on. I hooked up the multimeter and verified it as well. What am I missing? I thought this signal would vary depending on the amount of input to the throttle?

On the Traqmate, I see the same voltage under "show inputs", so the multimeter reading and the Traqmate reading match.

What am I missing?

I got the DME pin details from the Bentley manual.

Hmmm, have you contacted TM or posted in their support forums? Not sure what the reading should be across the spectrum of throttle (0-100%). I am sure the TM guys will be able to answer that quickly.

Since I have a '99 non-egas car, then my DME is 5.2 not 7.2 Wire colors are different. I will post info once I get it all sorted out.

Dell, does your car have a yaw sensor (I know cars with PMS have it)? With that and a steering angle sensor, you should be able to calculate slip angles... That may be useful (afterward you can evaluate which corners - or what driving style - puts you closer to the limit.)

Personally, I hope to do that some day and add throttle position and brake pressure. Those would be great learning tools.

It just dawned on me that you probably want this for your RS America... That certainly does not have a steering angle and/or yaw sensor from the factory. But your GT3 might...
