Tom, what gives?
In the past you ran the number X51 for years, now I see you changed to 196! I've been running 196 in PBOC for three year or more. I guess its no problem to them b/c I run race group and you run super solo. I know I paid for the permanent number with them, at least I have for years. Anyway, talk with you soon, hopefully you are running Sebring Dec 22/23.

Christian,
Sorry I couldn't be there this time. It's an incredible track with that inside turns and outside banks. Next time.
All the best to you and everyone in Citrus/Suncoast/Gold Coast/Crown for the holidays, Dan

Hey Gang!
It was great to finally meet all the faces that belong to the rennlist handles.
Had a great time - and thanks, guys, for the compliments about the driving,
That said, I'm still in awe of the ride Chip Herr gave me,
in my car. Smooth and effortless - thanks Chip (he had a
blast driving all of our high end toys)
Thanks also to all the pros esp. Randy Pobst and, of course,
the Organizers - Craig Liechty, Dave Pierson, and Chris Smith - the
unsung heros that made this happen!
To you rennlisters - Tom K. great to finally meet you - awesome guy and
a great driver - (don't let him fool you about that T1 spin - he was flying
and we all make some bobbles when close to the edge)
Lindsey - had a great time with you that session we "mixed it up". Our
cars and talents seem to be very well matched, and it was cool to have
someone to run with.
Viperbob - very nice meeting you - had a great time, and always
espected your contributions to these forums.
Here's some stuff for you:
Deetz's highlight reel - this includes the BMW spin right in front of me. Whew!

The banking - Rhen skiing down the banks..

Deetz - such a popular guy!
Bob and Lindsey
The Yellow rockets
Sam, Dave, and Deetz
Some more pics will come soon.
Take care all,
Deetz.

Good to meet you too. That was a lot of fun. I wish we would have ran together earlier in the weekend, that would have been a fun challenge.
Driving at Daytona has made me appreciate my car all over again. I remember feeling this way about my last 911 after attending the porsche driving experience. I am just amazed at how well our "street cars" perform
Tom and Deetz did not have all the fun....here are the ladies helping me feel better about tagging the tire wall!

my race car number is 53 for winterfest so dont think it will be a problem with you at the races.
will see ya at Chin. I will have the race cars (53 and 7) and my DE car 196.

Daytona is the perfect mix of fun and sheer fear. As someone said above, its a new perspective on NASCAr drivers close racing on the banking at around 200MPH. Ballsy!

Ok, you got me on that one !!! You were obviously "the man" with the ladies.
Hey, at least I have a cool girlfriend who drove for the first time at Daytona! She did 7 sessions this past weekend. I think she is hooked! I might have created another track addict!
