Nah, it's me Dan. It's just come to the point where some lines have to be drawn. I created this out of boredom during the Northeast winter months and it was created around the Rennlist philosophy. To those that don't appreciate it, it's to GIVE back. Many here have an affluence and that's fine, do with it as you will. I feel blessed in a lot of ways (I'M NOT RELIGIOUS) and it makes me feel good to give back. One of the ways I can do that is to host a sim racing server. It's there for a reason, and when I don't feel it's purpose is meaningful (to ME) i'll kill it. I won't ask for input and I won't give excuses.

To be part of "we", pay your $17 to John... and yes, get a better job if you need to (would you like fries with that comes to mind). Or better yet, buy a server, host the game and you can call the shots!

don't think it has got political, just think Gary is stating an opinion which he is more than entitled to! As he says he is the one who has put the effort in to give the forum members something fun and enjoyable to do together. At the end of the day, what ever he wants to do is up to him and no one can have any bones about it!

Actually I just came up with a great idea. Someone else do this. I'm shutting down the server tomorrow and you can figure it out for yourselves. I'll be back in November if nothing new comes up but i've had enough BS from wannabe asswipes to last me a couple years. I have a REAL car, a REAL race schedule and you dipwads that aren't even Rennlist members can go pound salt.

In the sandbox when I was a child I remember there were kids that when they didn't have there way wouldn't share their toys. Seems some lessons never are passed on.

I am over it, your sandbox and your toys. I suggest you Get over it and maybe some of that money needs to be spent on anger management courses.

For those of you that don't know Gary(people pointing fingers) he is a very giving stand up guy. You come in after countless guys came on here with no clue (me included) about sim racing and he helped almost every one of us get started, many from scratch.

The man is always willing to help and that isn't just with this sim thing. Probably the only thing he did wrong is be too willing to give his assistance to all that needed it, and there were many.

So for those that think Gary to be selfish has it completely wrong. If you disagree just read thru the 70 pages of this thread and that will give you the tip of the iceberg.
Obviously there has been more said here in the form of PMs and email that isn't even covered here.
So with that feel free to find someone else that will share their toys in there sandbox since you don't want to put anything towards it yourself.

Gary,

Sorry to see it came to this. You know the old saying, "you cant please all of the people all of thme." It just doesnt happen.

Now, I REALLY apreciate all your help. I promised to to buy you a nice dinner. Lets meet up at the Glen at the end of the month and I'll deliver.

Now, to up the ante (and to **** off Sean ), I will ride with you at the Glen (if you like) to felp find that extra second or twoi you are looking for to run at the front!

Thanks again for all your efforts setting this up. Its been fun!

JL

PS: I love you comment on the Ron Sav ettiquette. Right on the money! Ha Ha

I am also one of the people who did not have a clue on how to set up the game. I had never even spoken to Gary however he stopped what he was doing one night (he was actually playing at the time) and talked me through the process. THANKS buddy!!!!!!!
