I owned and drove the #18 (red) Lola T163 (original Gary Wilson car). I owned it from 1975 to 1993, and managed to catch the beginning of vintage Can-Am. Thanks for the notice.That video pretty much captures it. I don't think there has ever been a more thrilling class. AS

Those old Can-Am cars were amazing. I saw a McClaren Mk8D run at the Glen some years ago, and I have never seen a car get from 9 to 10 faster. It didn't accelerate up to 10, it leapt up to it. It looked like it was shot out of a cannon. Un-freaking-believable!
