Fellow Rennlister Juan Lopez had a great weekend at the Historic Sportscar Racing event at Daytona. On Friday he chased down the #77 car to win the Klub Sport Challenge race. Later in the weekend he finished 5th overall and 1st in class in the Enduro. A few pics to celebrate his great drives.

Wow Doug I'm humbled by this.
Many thanks for the pics and for all the hard work you and your fellow corner workers do to keep us safe and that allows us to go out there and play. My sincerest thanks for that![bowdown](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/bowdown.gif)
Can I request a pic from you? Could you please post the pic of the two of us standing by my car in the garage?
Many thanks again and glad you enjoyed the battle out there. It was a lot of fun and hard work.

I am really sorry I was not there to share on the victory celebration . 10 yrs have passed since we first went to Daytona with # 130 . Lots of things has happened since but all for the better . The efforts paid off . #226 is the car ! Even if it could go on a diet and improve on its power / weight ratio . The 901 Shop crew has proven themselves again . No hand grenades , but , reliable power . Thanks to Jack , Brady and The Guys . Let's do it again .

Thanks guys, it was great fun.
Someone asked me what was the scariest thing out there and I must say it was overtaking the old Mini Cooper during the enduro. Talking to the driver he figures that his top speed is perhaps 100MPH and I was barreling down at 155MPH or so. You hope they have seen you and will not get in front of you suddenly. Poor guy said his car got sucked at least a lane width everytime the fast classes went by ...
Stuttgart, very tough class indeed.......
I guess I don't qualify for HWFMR anymore

Juan or others, can you answer a question about the Klub Sport Challenge?
I just read the rules and the 914/6 is listed as 2125 pounds in KLUB SPORT CHALLENGE,
2500 lbs in Klub Sport 914 FIA Class, and 2475 in Klub Sport C Production Class.
The class you run is the biggest one I think, the Klub Sport Challenge? Can the 914/6 can run in your class at 2125? In the results I see a 914 class, a CP class, and a 911 class. No Klub Sport Challenge class. Are the 914/6 and 911s scored seperately? Too confusing.
What is the difference in the C prod class, seems to be the same specs but heavier?
Thanks!

As Juan knows, we have used 901 power a few times over the years ... high quality stuff.
Congrats Juan!
Bummer I couldn't make RRIII or Daytona HSR. Planning on hitting HSR Sebring. '73 is at 901 getting a "look see" and hopefully Brady / Jack can repair / save it.
