Hey Carlos - only two events, 4 days so far this year. Working is not cooperating with my leisure activities - gotta change that somehow!

Yes, I was in HPDE. And yes, it was my first track event in the car and the first at Infineon. I think I did alright for a newbie. Although I drove Infineon on Gran Tourismo 4 for over 1,000 laps before I went. It actually did justice to the line.

I would echo the advice given by others already. If you want to see the line I drive in a race you'll find some videos here. The October "Porsches at the Point" race was especially fun. Don and I were side-by-side from the start through turn 4 before he finally got ahead of me in T5.

Most laps in the Sunday race were 1:49's. My best is a 1:47. Unfortunately, my Traqmate told me its memory was full when I hit the button as I was eading out so there is no data overlay for the Oct race. I think I have data overlayed in the May race.

Very nice videos. Especially liked yours, Mark.
This is kinda tame (no race action), but it is a 1:41 (my first time recently at Infineon and can't say I ever really got the hang of #2)

great video, even without traffic

1:41 is a hot lap, especially for your first time!

That's a hot rod you have there!

Not quite "hot" enough when our mutual friend Mark A. has his 928 running in the same Class!!!

You've gotten alot of good feedback from your video. May I add my $ .02?
You probably noticed the difference between our lines going into #7. I think the double apex is quicker as others have suggested.
I feel like it upsets the balance of the car to be so far into the rumble strips eg. thru the esses after #7. I think you could go faster thru there w/o doing that.
You accelerated nicely before the late apex of #6 (I thought this was the most critical part of the whole track), but you didn't do that at #10. I think you lost some time there.
Enjoyed your video also.

yes, but he has been to sears quite a bit. He did click off a 1:39.9 but a hot time for him is in the 1:41 range too.

Ive been there so much, i probably wouldnt know how to break my habits and go faster

Your car seems to have a ton of power and handles like its on rails.
What are the specs of it?

How did you do in the race. the video was a little alone, but still very watchable!I would think that the 1:41 would put you in the top 10 at least in that tough POC or PRC crowd and alll those pesky cup cars!

This is my first event in this car, so hopefully this will get better. And I likely will be going to EFI or Carbs this winter, so that may improve it as well.
Thanks,

Two things I've found with an SC on matching revs - you really have to push the pedal down a long way and let the clutch out fast
