I didn't see much of you today after greetings in the morning and you're practically next door. Didn't realize that your student had the M5, lots of green cars in the grass today.... you guys part of the flock?

1) Jet fighter pilot - Training & instincts are VERY transferrable to HPDE driving.
2) May have soured my future as an instructor. It is unfathomable that I will have a student this exceptional ever again, nor in such a fast car - Dinan M5 was impressive (yes we turned off stability management system).
3) I am absolutely giddy! YEEHAW! What a blessing to have this assignment today! If all students can absorb instruction as quickly as this and respond to coaching so well, the world would would be a better place. Wouldn't it?

I realize that Kiss and tell is a no-no, but I am amazed, and feel compelled to share the positive experience. We were NAILING apexes the second run session. After lunch, he was able to verbalize every single corner and transition prior to execution while on the track: Brake at 3, turn in at dirt patch, late apex, mid track... He said it and did it. I am afraid I will be mere deadweight on day 2.

Yeah, unfortunately we were in different run groups this time - I was looking forward to following you in your M3. Maybe November?

We stayed off the grass today.

That is funny. Twice he was mistaken for an instructor while we were out in the paddocks.

I am usually mistaken for a nobody. No wait, Um, I guess I am a nobody.

Maybe I shouldn't give my students so much credit. It was my exceptional coaching that got the quy from 0 days experience to ready for Black run group in just 90 minutes time. I am SUPERINSTRUCTOR!!!! Cough Cough.

I am sooo tempted to go into a comparison of professions with driving prowess. Being a non-noteworthy nobody, ribbing some common posters here may not go over well. I shall shut up now before having to clarify that I am not really an antidentite.

whew....
I was thinking it was another "thanks to the airbags I walked away"

No jet pilot here, but I learned to fly gliders before I learned to drive and I've found it somewhat useful even all these years later with this DE stuff - "seat of the pants" feel, "eyes up", and "smoothness".

Glad you had a GREAT day!
