Well, tracked the new (to me) 3.4l 996 this weekend.
Totally stock. I noticed something. It didn't blow up! In fact, no low oil pressure, no overheating issues, no smoke after start up. Nothing.
How boring. I'll be changing the car shortly

I know. I'm going to wait to I finish the car.
Thing pushes pretty badly in stock form. Found out the car has Traction Control. Pain in the ***. I turned it off.
BTW, the 996 platform is light years away from the '84 3.2 I had. The 996 is pretty tossable.
