you should be able to get moton clubsport DAs, gt3 sway bars + drop links, gt3 2 piece control arms, monoball tops for 8500.... not including labour. add another grand for full monoball bearings to replace most of the rubber bushings.

Bill,
If you are going to spend $45k why don't you make me an offer on my 996. You could buy it for only slightly more and have a way way better track car.

Jim, I don't think I'll have over $40K in the car when I'm done. Your car is sweet, but another $16K would land me in divorce court. If I'm going to do that, I'm at least going to do one race in a cup car before she takes it.

Of course, I'm not including my own labor and time. I don't really like other people wrenching on my car. It's a trust issue with me.

Damn, maybe that's why I ended up divorced!

Feeling the car out still I guess.

I'm sure you're aware from conversation that he's coming from an NA S2 to the turbo car.

Your car is clean, tight and nicely done.

There's a local series race here this weekend, I'll let you know how Mike does.

Assuming the proposed PCA stock classes pass the 996 will be very competitive in three different classes. No need for a spec class. This will be very good for club racing.

couldn't it be in gt3? the '99 is a 3.4L. strip it down to 2600 lbs and it may have a chance with the lightweight 3.4L early cars.

Seriously though, I looked for a nice 996 for quite some time. This car has no idea what it has gotten itself into! I wanted red so that you couldn't see the flames as the engine explodes from too much track use.

This one has LSD, M030, sport seats, navigation and a fabspeed exhaust. I'll pick up my new track toy this weekend. Then...... let the modifications begin. Oh yeah, this one has a new motor....he, he, he!

Hey, frootloop...you gonna be man enough to bring it to TWS in 3 weeks?
