DFW Racers - What Happened to Bobby Archer????
Anyone know? I talked to one of Bobby's guys about two weeks ago and he told me then that Nancy had left. Then last week, the office phone rolled directly to Bobby's cell phone and the message indicated that Bobby does not check his voicemails and to call back. Late last week, the message changed to note that the cellular subscriber is no longer active.
Pretty bad sign if you ask me. Puts a dent in our Hoosier supplier population. Down to PST, Smileys, TireRack or a few others. Also, will there be a fuel supplier at Hallett for the Club Race in October?
Bummer.

Toby,
As for Hallett, they do have race fuel on-site at the track. IIRC, one of the pumps should have 104 unleaded. If you need 93 unleaded, plan ahead. Pricey at the track, I fill up my fuel jugs in Mannford.
One other source for Hoosiers is Cory Jump of Planet 911 in OKC. He can match Tire Slack pricing, can have them drop shipped or delivered in the DFW area (he's down here couple times a month). I see that he dropped out of the Daytona race and signed up for Hallett. Cory's cell phone is 405-210-7911. Not affiliated in any way, just a happy customer and trying to help out a fellow PCA club racer.

Thanks Noby. I'll need to call Hallett and find out if they have Leaded 110. If not, will need to call Frances for a pony keg of fuel! Will also call Cory as I heard he may have a line on some 74 911 long blocks (might as well build a spare - it's only money!).

mad,
Thanks for the link, but I've had that for a long time. Phones are no longer in service though. His site was done via a provider. I think Bobby is in dire straits right now. Really too bad.

If you don't need them to be new, there is a guy in Charleston SC - Bob Chick, who sells slightly used Hoosiers and Yokohamas that have come off GrandAm cars etc. for $75-80 a piece and plenty of tire left they are a great deal
