Anyone with CCW Classic, C14, C10 or Volk TE37's?

The RA1s always feel greasy if you are using them correctly. They run at a pretty high slip angle. I don't really like them on a heavy car, but they are ok on my Acura, and it's the spec tire for Honda Challenge so I have to run them in that class. For DE in a heavy Porsche, IMHO, MPSC or RA1's all the way....

I tried to target 38 and 40PSI hot. Very greasy feeling to begin with, but, worked just fine after 2 sessions. The more I ran them, the better they got. Depending on the track or number of right vs left turns, the tires won't heat up evenly. Mine were consistantly off when cold, but much closer when the warmed up. This was my 5th DE...first with the beast. By the end of the second day, I was all giving the Z06 drivers a very difficult time and passing some of them, even though they had a lot more experience. 90% car 4% rims 5% tires and 1% skill! (I plan on changing that ratio soon)

I was going to get the CCW in anodized black but John at CCW talked me out of it saying they turn purplish and the fade real bad when they get heated up. I asked around to others that did black CCW's and they agreed with John...so I just got silver.
I will probably have them painted black when I wear out my RA1's.

classics can be touched up with flat black paint as they are shotpeened before anodizing, c14's have a brushed/translucent black finish that doesnt lent itself to being touched up with paint (opaque) althought a black permanant marker works reasonably well
